Lunarpages, bluehost or hostgator ?

All 3 of these host are reliable providers. You can find many reviews about them if you do a WHT search with their names. I can not say exactly, but looking at the given information I wouldn't think you would need more than 10GB. Inserted of going after higher bandwidth offers, I would recommend going after a host that offers a good service for your money. Reamember, whatever you choose make sure you do your homework well and take your time finding a good host and you will succed in the long run.

Best of luck with your search!

I have been with hostgator, the service is very good and very rarely the site was down. Customer support is very good too. They have many packages that you will be able to upgrade to, in case you will need it. However if you need open ports for your site don't go with them, they block many ports, at least at that time when I was with them. That was the reason why I had to change host.

Now I am with bluehost. Server performance is even better than hostagor, uptime is very very good too - better than hostgator. There was no downtime ( noticed or reported by the site members ) since the last 16 days. Support is great and now they have live chat too. If you are concerned of open ports, with a dedicated IP you will have all ports open, however at this moment they are not able to sell more dedicated IP's.

I can't say anyhting about Lunarpages since I never had an account with them.

I used to have a good opinion of these three hosts mentioned: Lunarpages, Bluehost and Hostgator.

I thought they were the only good hosts. But if you look around there are others...Took me 1 month of searching but in the end I still had to move ahead and settle for one....Time is money after all.

Guess what? It aint any of those three. Sure, my host isnt the best, far from it... but sometimes we just have to keep moving. I was having the same question as you but its impossible to find a good host for shared hosting as least.

As for Hostgator, they have a very strict sign up procedure which put me off and very explicit terms of service, which you'd do well to read through.

This little feedback might help you choose your host

If you are talking about < USD 20/mth shared hosting, my recent check reveals these (HG is one of the 2 hosts I know to be very good.

Why I didn't choose Bluehost :
- No 24 hours live online chat support
- no >= 99.9% uptime service level agreement
- domain limitation (do not allow you to host unlimited domains)
- no dedicated hosting. You are better off going with hosts which has dedicated hosting even though you only need shared hosting as offering dedicated hosting shows that a host is serious in the hosting biz.
- Not much agreements posted on its website for you to review before purchase.

Why I didn't choose Lunarpages :
- No 24 hours live online chat support
- only 2 packages, not much room for expansion...cannot upgrade to a bigger plan.
- No customer forum

Hostgator :
- Do not have the above shortcomings.
- proved to be very reliable, stable, honest and affordable.

Things might have changed though...
If you think any of the above is not correct, feel free to correct me.
