I've been with BlueHost for about five months. Until today, I would have given them an amazing review... and would have recommended them to my own mother. HOWEVER, it's amazing what you learn AFTER plunking the $$ down.
Recently, all of my clients sites have been forwarding to an error saying that the CPU usage has been exceeded. They have limits on the CPU to the extent that if a process runs for more than 30 seconds, it blocks all of the sites and send them to an error page. Most recently it happened today when I was trying to download mysql databases for backup purposes. So, as soon as the database download went longer than 30 seconds, all of my sites went down.
My clients are irate. I’m hoping that the sales people will be able to resolve this. I’ll let you know.
Other than that issue, they’ve been great. For me, the support response time has been fantastic… no other problems other than an outage or two… and those were well explained and compensated for. --RMWebs
