Standard Terms and Conditions apply (full details on www.8ta.com). 8ta is not liable for any loss or damage to your property or equipment arising out of the provision, installation or maintenance and use of the service. 8ta shall not incur any liability whatsoever for any loss or damage as a result of any use, authorised and unauthorised resulting from virus attacks, security vulnerabilities etc. Subscription to 8ta services is subject to network coverage and network availability. The service is a best effort service and no guarantees are provided on availability or throughput. The subscriber shall be liable to determine network coverage in the subscriber area. Network coverage is not guaranteed and the service experience may change from time to time. A compatible device is required to use the 8ta services. The maximum speed that can be experienced by the customer is dependent on the speed specification of the device. 8ta mobile services support soft cell handover. Prices include VAT. Prices of Pre-paid Data bundles exclude modems. Normal Voice services are disabled with the exception of emergency services (10111, 10177 and 112) and help desk (081 180). SMS is enabled for notification and balance enquiry. Pre-paid data bundles will expire at the end of the next calendar month from the date of activation. RICA shall apply. The service application process will only commence on the presentation of necessary supportive documentation. Prices are valid at date of print. E&OE
iPad Terms & Conditions
8ta's iPad Once-Off Internet Data Product Terms:
This shall be a Once-Off Internet Bundle. The bundle shall be valid until the end of the following calendar
month. Carry over shall not apply. Out of Bundle rate of R 1.00 per MB shall apply. Downlink and Uplink Speed applicable to this bundle shall be 7.2Mbp/s Download and 1.8Mbp/s Upload Speed.
Upon depletion of the iPad Once-Off Internet Data Bundle, the
subscriber shall be redirected to the redirect page where they shall
be given the choice to:
- Choose to surf at out of bundle rates of R 1.00 per MB
- Purchase another iPad Once-Off Internet Data bundle
- Recharge with Airtime Credit
The Data Bundles are only being offered at iStore's. 8ta Airtime vouchers are available at all iStores (see Press Release
for locations). SMS Balance enquiries and notifications shall not be supported on the
iPad. USSD Balance enquiries and notifications shall not be supported on the
iPad. USSD and SMS are not supported on the iPad hence these channels cannot
be used for Data bundle purchasing.
iPad users will be required to register on the 8ta iPad Web Portal in
order to benefit from the iPad data bundles and to redeem their
recharge vouchers online https://home.8ta.com/ipadreg
The iPad portal shall also enable the iPad user to view their
Balances, redeem their Airtime voucher and purchase an iPad Once-Off
Internet Data Bundle at any given time https://home.8ta.com/ipad
